This morning, Vane and I had the strongest double. With an extremely challenging (i.e. fast) 6am with Akin, we ventured on (because why would we not?) and truly conquered our double floor spots at Barry's by upping our intensity. We picked up weights that were five pounds heavier than our norm; and we nailed those 25 pounds for every single move that worked our back, chest and abs.
Here's how to really tell if you're spending your time properly:
You feel your arms start to quake and you push back even harder because you love-to-hate, yet crave that burn.
IT is a relatively new mindset that continues to develop as I work on building up my mental.
IT is a relatively newfound strength that I, only now, realize I was lacking a few months prior.
And, when showering this morning, and seeing the scar on the upper-left side of my thigh, I saw myself looking at it differently. For the first time, I saw it as a mark that is not there to remind me of something that hurt me; rather I saw it as a mark of something that made me who I am today; a mark that pushed me to pick up that heavier set of weights.
I saw it as a sign of strength...
- and a mark to remind me that we are literally limitless if we truly believe in ourselves.
